Sekira’s sculptural practice centers on ceramics, reworking Ukrainian Slavic folklore and personal memory into narrative form. Their works often center on mermaids and forest spirits, figures that embody both strength and vulnerability, reflecting complex expressions of femininity. Infused with autobiographical fragments, the sculptures explore passion, mortality, and resilience within post-apocalyptic landscapes that mirror the uncertainties of our time.
